1916 Commoration Day
As part of our celebration of 100 years since the Easter Rising, the school organised a fun and exciting day for all of the children. Our morning began with the raising of the Irish Flag and a reading of the Irish Proclamation by 5th and 6th class. After little break we were treated to a series of dramas and songs performed by the different classes. In the afternoon we had a Céilí organised by Ms. Dunne. To round off the day, 5th and 6th class guided the younger classes in playing playgound games from the early 20th Century.
